Carnival in Los Santos, Panama, Culecos

Carnival in Panama only comes once a year. Thank goodness.  I was fortunate to spend a few days with friends in the neighboring town of Los Santos. It was an absolute blast. One of the highlights of the event for me was crossing off a couple of things on my bucket list.  One of those things was to have a crowd of people chant my name. During the day, giant trucks (that usually carry fuel) are filled with water and the crowds dance, parade and party in front of these truck begging to be sprayed.  In the heat of the mid-day Panamanian sun it is a welcome relief from the heat.

Thanks to the connections of a very dear friend I was able to spend a few hours on top of these trucks doing the spraying.  So thanks, Richy Arosemena, for the opportunity, the photos and video.
