Panama museums vary in exhibits from modern art, pre-columbian artifacts, industrial accomplishment recognition like the museums dedicated to the world famous Panama Canal, to the marine biology museum maintained by the internationally renowned Smithsonian Institute.
Before traveling to some of the museums check with your hotel or host about a taxi. Some museums are to far across town to walk and may be located near areas that are best not to walk through. Also, remember to call first before your visit, many museums are closed for lunch and on certain week days.
